The heavy cardboard tray fits right into the go up of the Leap Pad, and is much more durable than the regular books. The problem where the cord for the pen damages regular books is not a problem for the puzzles! The Leap pen works whether a puzzle piece is already in the tray or whether just the vaguely faded picture is visible because the piece is not yet in the tray. We have lost a piece and it is not a problem because everything still operates correctly. On the animal alphabet especially, the placement of the animals at intersections of the puzzle cuts makes it really easy for a child to learn about puzzles. My daughter is 2 years 3 months and she says "Where's fox nose?" or "I find newt tail!" It is amazing to see the relations happening for her. She is still not interested in the letter concept, but there are plenty of animal noises and interesting facts to keep her really interested while putting the puzzle collectively. She is not quite as interested in the Winnie the Pooh number puzzle, but still enjoys it.I would highly recommend this product for the younger ages. It really keeps their concentration, doesn't overwhelm them, is durable and they pick up puzzle manipulation skills very quickly.

I bought these for my daughters 4th birthday. She loved them but had a hard time figuring how to hold pin talk and then let go to take note. She is everlastingly getting due to these are very easy. Kelly Clarkson's holiday special gets more viewers than Simon Cowell's X Factor

Kelly Clarkson's holiday special, which aired on Wednesday evening, drew bigger numbers than her former mentor's show.

On Friday it was reported by Showbiz 411 that the country star's Cautionary Christmas Music Tale pulled in 5.31 million viewers.

But the singer's old American Idol boss Simon Cowell saw only 4.97 million eyes for his struggling reality show The X Factor which aired the same night.

And the winner is... : On Wednesday night the holiday special put on by Kelly Clarkson (left) did better than The X Factor which is the baby of Simon Cowell (right), according to Showbiz 411

'This must hurt,' wrote Showbiz 411's Roger Friedman.

'The X Factor is just not doing well. We all know it. But on Wednesday night there was an added insult: Kelly Clarksons Christmas special had more total viewers than Simon Cowells competition.

'The irony of course is that Clarkson was discovered on Cowells American Idol and was the very first winner of that show,' he continued.

'X Factor was the eleventh - yes 11th - most watched show on Wednesday night. Thats also rough news.'

In October she married Brandon Blackstock, then soon after announced she was pregnant with her first child.

She is now promoting her new Christmas album Wrapped In Red.

Simon's Wednesday night X Factor sadly saw his three member group Restless Road get eliminated on Live Week 5 Results.

The British personality looked downcast as voters made their choice to drop his musicians.

Simon's show has been struggling almost since it launched in 2011, but his personal life has been on an upswing.

This year he impregnated his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, who he will reportedly be proposing to soon.

He has said the arrival of his first child has helped snapped him out of a depression that could have stemmed from his flailing X Factor.

On Thursday Digital Spy reported that Simon might return to The X Factor UK.

'Simon's coming back, I'm pretty certain of that. Simon, I think, is definitely coming back to X Factor,' said X Factor UK judge Louis Walsh.

'He's having some new faces on the panel. I'd say I'm 70 percent certain he'll come back.'

My 3 & 4 y.o. daughters love this cartridge, but the games are a little silly in my opinion. I'm not sure what the fireworks game is supposed to teach (fireworks explode wherever the pen is pointed). There are also two games that just play songs.There is a more educational game w/ Gus that teaches shapes, numerical order, etc. The magical footsteps also teach writing skills. I subdue expect more starting Leapfrog, flush if my daughters do extremely the Princess games to the others. I would recommend the Dora cartridge if you're looking for more of an educational game. I'm joyful I got this on sale-it's definitely not worth the retail price.

My 4 year old daughter enjoyed these for part of Christmas morning. this item is sweet cheap when you buy it at butt or any store with good prices, but it eventually adds up to more than it is worth.Each pvd is about $8.99, but only holds 30 min. at the most! I got this toy since hasbro.com made it look so cool, but it is not worth it. I use it every now and then but my dad doesn't spend a lot of money on me and there are limits. After export a few pvds for the player, you could have had a dvd player. Dvds are about the same price now and again lower if it is on sale, and the hold a lot more space. You can also make dvds on the pad! You can make pvds but they hold under 20 min. I am not adage this toy is dreadful. If you have a child 8 or younger, video now xp might be a good way to go. The good thing about it is on the back of each pvd, there is a now point. If you get six or more nowpoints, you get a free pvd by mail!One good point about it is that there is a long waranty. My first one didn't work very well so I got a new one. Even if on the box you see two kids surveillance their videonow in the car, it is not a good idea except it is a warm day. Videonow xp is insightful to the cold and could be smashed if left in the cold too lond. Think twice before to you get it.

I bought the new VideoNow XP as a last little gift, mainly because of the great price at ToysRus. My daughter is 5 and loves it! She likes the perception of treatment her own discs and watching her own shows. There arent a lot of buttons to worry about, so that's skilled for her. I feel that the picture is very grainy and not very skilled at all (especially compared to my sons Nintendo SP screen he watches for his shows) but she loves it and doesnt seem to mind. It's not only splendid for the car but the kids love to make tents and get under their covers and watch it. I also love having control of their viewing because all the discs are rated for kids. I thought about the price I paid for all 4 as compared to purchasing a portable dvd for the car..but each kid having their own...beyond price and more affordable w/ videonow.I'm totally hooked on their product lines...I purchased the chat now phones, and the videonow camcorder this year and still contemplating about the xp...and I'm hoping that these other products live up to my expectations!
