49ers' Aldon Smith expected to play Sunday, Coach Jim Harbaugh says

Aldon Smith, the 49ers' All-Pro linebacker who was arrested Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence and marijuana possession, is expected to play Sunday, San Francisco Coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters.

"I expect Aldon like today he'll be back to work and playing on Sunday," Harbaugh said. "I anticipate that, yes."

Smith, though, could be disciplined by the NFL since this is his third run-in with the law in less than two years.

Smith, who was a force as a rookie out of Missouri with 14 sacks in 2011, was arrested in Miami Beach last year on suspicion of DUI, but accepted a deal for a lesser charge. He is currently facing a lawsuit that claims he threw a party in June 2012 where weapons were discharged and a partygoer was struck in the leg with two bullets.

"There will be consequences," Harbaugh said Friday. "There always is. Good or bad, we all have consequences."

Smith, who had 19 1/2 sacks last season to help the 49ers reach the Super Bowl, was released from jail Friday after posting bail of $5,250. He attended practice in the afternoon but did not talk to reporters.

Smith was taken into custody after a 7 a.m. report of a single-car accident in San Jose, where he lives. Police said he failed a breath test during their preliminary investigation at the scene.

The 49ers host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at Candlestick Park.

Tamagotchi Connection V 4.5 Original Virtual Pet - Hawaiian Blue Shopper Reviews

I bought this tamagotchi for my 8 year old sister and she absolutely loves it. She loves having a virtual pet since she doesn't have a real one. If you are looking for a birthday present for anyone ages from 7-9 this is the perfect gift! It does take up a lot of time though. She has to feed it and make sure it doesn't die,so if you have a sensitive child or one who doesn't have a lot of time, I wouldn't buy it.
- Hannah "Hannah"

I bought several of these. They are perfect little stocking-stuffers for kids. The different colors are fun too. We've only had them for a few weeks, but they seem to be very durable. The instructions are fairly easy to follow and the kids seem to enjoy them.

MultiColor LED Gloves Purchaser Reviews

I received my gloves very quickly, however, the gloves broke within minutes of opening the package!! A few of the fingers don't even work, and they were white instead of black as shown in the images. Overall very misleading and low quality product. I want my money back!!!!

I did not find any dead bulbs on arrival. It comes with 8 different lighting patterns. The product was a little snug for my bigger hands. But when I took this to a rave, it was a great complement to my... ummm... experience.

i opened the box and tried to turn them on and the lights dont work on any of them. i want my money back
- nick

The gloves are just like the description shows. They are a lil unconfortable but if u plan to wear them just for a few moment its fine. We did a Michael Jackson mix choreography as sunset and they looked sharp with our outfits!
- alcubo

This item was delivered quickly (3 days). The gloves are white with lights installed inside the glove material so when the package first arrives they don't look like the advertised picture (looks like black gloves - which I believe you can purchase but I didn't pay that much attention to the description). The gloves are packaged and in new condition. I would use this vendor again without hesitation!

Alien Nanofly Buyer Review

Although there's not too much educational value for this toy, it's a real delight for the kid (or the kid in some adults!) who is on the techy side. The toy doesn't take off well from resting on a table, but works great if let go out at arm's length while pushing up on the throttle. I've found that after a lot of use, the foam fins flex a little bit; and if you don't right the fins every once in a while the propeller will knick them. It still flies well despite the knicks. Two possible downsides include: 1) the range really isn't that great. After about 20 feet of separation, the signal is lost. 2) the direction the NanoFly goes is really not controllable other than up and down. During a long flight, it begins a corkskrew like motion. The good news is, for that hard to shop for person who's a bit of a technogeek, they'll love this toy and see the above "downsides" as challenges. For example, trying to land the NanoFly on the upper side of a ceiling fan blade kept me and my nephew busy for quite a while . . .Safety: It is small, so keep away from toddlers. Also cats and dogs; they like to run off with them and nibble on the foam fins! Keep away from hair. The propeller is not harmful even at full throttle. The safety feature of shutting down after a hard landing can get a bit annoying, but I'm impressed it was built in [it's easy to reset, just turn off and on again].

Fisher Price Kid Tough FP3 Song & Story Player - Pink Reviews

My 5 year old twins wantd "iPods" for their birthday - like their big brother. We got them each these - they LOVE them and so do we. We broused through the thousands of music files on our computer - and burned their favorites to a CD - then it was very easy to get them to the fp format. They use it a lot and are thrilled with their "iPods" - my only complaint is the foam padding on the headphones falls off a lot - we finally had to superglue them on - otherwise it is awesome!
- Traci M. Vedros

My kids received this item as a gift for their birthday. They loved the preloaded songs and stories so I thought I would download so more songs off the Fisher Price website and install the software. Unfortunately, this was not an easy task. I ended up spending 3 hours on the phone with customer service and not getting any answers. Customer service ended up sending me another FP3 player that had the same problems as the first one.Pros:DurableFunEducationalCons:Software would not recognize FP3 player (saying device not connected)Software kept giving me the error message (G:/access denied)Software would not recognize internet connection but I could use the internet just fine.A month later, I finally figured it all out and got the software to work after reinstalling the software numerous times, etc. I found out that the administrator name on your computer has to be EXACTLY the same as the user name you put in when you install the software. Find out what your administrator name is in XP by clicking on start>control panel>user accounts. This is one reason the software would not work. The second is that when you plug in the device, your computer will pop up the device with several FP3 icons, playlist icon, and readme file. If you delete all the FP3 icons located in the popup, the device will run fine. Who would have thought of this, but it works! Customer service was very nice but did not offer much for solutions.Overall the kids love the player but Fisher Price needs to work out the bugs in the software, with headphones not being durable, and FP3 format. They could also improve the troubleshooting section in their website. My Ipod isn't even this difficult!
- jamie009 "jamie009"

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. She loved it. I read the reviews about how difficult the software was and took the time to transfer her favorite songs to it before she received it on Christmas morning. The software is annoying. It does seem unnecessary to make you do a fp3 format. I think that may be so you can't use the songs/stories you download from their store with other programs.I bought two stories and a song from their store so my daughter would have some stories she was familiar with when she first opened it. I was disappointed at the lack of selection. Their site might have about 50 stories. I had not heard of many of them. They also had about 40-50 albums and you have to click on each album to see if it has the song you are looking for. I did not see a way to search for a song.I was then annoyed they have a minimum order of $4.95. Songs are .99 each and books were 2.99 each. Albums were typically $9.99 each. The download was VERY fast. Although, you did have to download each item separately.I did not use the picture editor. I expected it would be more trouble than it was worth. I found the folder with the icon pictures in it in the programs directory and am quite certain you could just move files there if you wanted to add images you already had. I didn't have time before Christmas to test it out.The stories and songs you buy from their site come with their own preset images that are appropriate. It is frustrating that it will only convert music from a CD. You can write music to a cd and then read it back into the program. I put about 20 songs on a cd and it could only only convert about half of them. I didn't take time to investigate. Finally, getting to my point. Christmas morning my daughter was tickled to get up and put on the headphone and hit two buttons and heard her favorites song (Brown Eyed Girl). How did Santa know?Anyway, after opening all of her gifts, she made the full circle and went back to play more songs and it would not play. The play button just ceased to work. I replaced the batteries and turned it on and off a few times. I reconnected it to my pc and could play the songs directly off the player through the software. I could hear the click when I would page through the songs so I know the sound on the player was working. I double checked the volume was turned all the way up. Nothing happened. After fiddling with it for a minute, the forward button quit working.I'm returning it. I have not yet decided if I want to exchange it or just buy an inexpensive full mp3 player. The ONLY reason I would consider exchanging it is the icons make it easier for children that cannot yet read to pick a song. However, I'm really worried the next one would break again and this time it would be just after when I could return it.The other reason I am leaning toward a MP3 player is that it irks me that you cannot buy a power supply for it. Since you can purchase speakers for it, I had planned to put it in my daughter's room. We play music for her when she goes to bed every night. I wouldn't want to replace the batteries (or recharge them) multiple times a week.Of course, if I return it, I'll probably be stuck with the purchase made from fisher price for the stories and song. One last note - the user manual says to only use alkaline batteries
- Clarissa R. Knight

My wife is repackaging this failed christmas gift as I type. The unit is cute, but the software to make it work is nothing but miserable and ultimately completely nonfunctional. For starters, let me say that both my wife and I are experienced MP3 player users from multiple manufacturers. We know how to use these things. Our computers are new.The software provided with the unit is miserable. The "store" where you can buy FP3's online is only accessible after you download and install the software update. It took 10 tries to complete the download, which would just lock up and fail each time - and because you are accessing the downloads through their software rather than a web site, it cannot be refreshed, and does not pick up where it left off in the case of an interruption. The computer has to be restarted and the whole process starts over. When that was finally finished, my wife bought three stories. Only 1 was able to be downloaded. A confirmation email was sent that we had bought 3 stories, and that we could download them up to 5 times, but nowhere did it say where to go if all the items purchased did not download as whey should have. Only after lengthy consultations over the phone with a very nice customer rep did we go to a totally separate company website (nothing related to Fisher Price) to get the missing items we had paid for.Shortly after this, the player spontaneously erased itself. Great. This morning, we plugged it in to put more music on it, and the software recognizes it as a new player only, which needs to be registered. The registration file on the FP3 player cannot be found, probably because it is already registered!! And thus, we cannot ever add more songs to it.Also the software has provisions for playlists, but the player cannot access them as discrete, selectable playlists.
- Laura Gowing "Laura G"

The actual player itself seems to be quite usable for my four year old. However, for the parent the software is crap. Here is why:1. It only runs on windows. If you have mac, linux, freebsd you are out of luck.2. The player only plays fisher price proprietary format music files. So sorry all those MP3 files you have spent years ripping from your CDs will not work. Time to re rip them into FP3 format, that is if you can still read the CDs.This is yet another example of anti-consumer lock in products that areunfortunately becoming more common.
- FreeBSD daemon

My just-turned-three-year-old loves her FP3 player! She often visits her dad who lives three hours away so I got this to provide another entertainment option in the car and on the plane. The story and song options on the website are wonderful! Classics like Goldilocks and Dr. Seuss with newer stories also such as Curious George. She loves it! The song options are great too. A lot of the pop music we hear on the radio is her favorite and Fisher Price offers a lot of those original songs with a children's choir accompaniment. It's very cute. I highly recommend this product. Expect to spend an additional $20 in the Fisher Price online store post purchase. It comes with a few songs and stories but not the selection most would choose.
- Allison Chandler "gadgetmom"

This is a solution to all the others that cannot write new songs to the device. it looks like when some of these devices were manufactured, all of the files were set with the Read only bit set on all of the files. When a song is written to the device, it adds the track, then it will update either the playlist.sng (songs) or playlist.sty (story). If these files are set to read only, then they can not update the internal playlist and the player will not know about any new tracks, and you will get the write access error.Short story to get it working with XP, Vista or whatever - When you connect it to you machine and the drive pops up; right click playlist.sng and then choose properties. Uncheck the attribute for Read only. Then do the same for playlist.sty. It should work fine for everything, and the access errors will disappear.I hope this helps some people out.PS. I was called in to resolve this problem because parents of the device could not get it working
- Mr. X "GrungeTech fer 'hire"

This player is everything it's cracked up to be. It's tough, and VERY easy to load, and I am no tech junkie. Far from it actually. So, once I got the program loaded on the computer, it was a snap to learn. My 4 yr old daughter ust loves it. She'll insist on taking it in the car whenver we're in there, and also will listen to it at home just the same. The only problem (and it's minor) is that the battery life isn't that great. I had to buy rechargable batteries for the amount of use she gives it. Totally worth the investment.
- Momma Lynn

I bought this for my 5 year-old for her birthday. She absolutely loves it and mastered the operation within minutes. Downloading stories from the website was a little tricky, but in the end was worth the time ($1.99 for most stories). Copying songs from CDs was the best feature. You can pick and delete the songs you want. You can even assign a picture to each song or to a collection of songs. For example, for High School Musical, I assigned a school bus; for the Aquamarine soundtrack, a starfish; Princess and the Pauper, a princess. Anyway, you get the idea. She also really likes the story reading function. I look forward to trying out the speaker/boom box accessory. The headphones seemed bulky to me, but my 5 year old loves how they fit and they don't slide off of her head!I gave it 5 stars even though we had to return the first one. The play/pause button didn't work consistently, even right out of the box. It is marketed as a "kid tough" design, but we may have just had a bad player, as the replacement one seems to work fine, even after dropping it a few times. I also recommend the blue case; the pink one is very pale pink and all of the ones in store were already scuffed up and dirty.
- T. Touchstone "Super mom"

Most of the features were great! It is very easy to use for my daughter and myself. Amazon is misleading, the FP3 players requires 2 "AAA", not 2 "AA" as advertised. Battery life is very short, there is no AC adapter or recharger available, such as on a Leapster. We took the FP3 on our RV trip and with all that road noise it was a blessing. The power switch on the back of the player is very sensitive, my daughter tends to like holding the player and making menu selections, and a lot of times inadvertently turns off the player. Quite frustrating.
- Be True to Thyself "Carolynn"

'Blurred Lines' Model Emily Ratajkowski Is Having an Affair with Ben Affleck ...

Andrea Howlett / Splash News

Before we begin, I want to state for the record that I am one of the few humans and quite possibly the only woman between the ages of 18 and 34 whohatedGillian Flynn's mystery thrillerGone Girl. While the novel may have been one of a small number to achieve both critical acclaim and bestseller status, I would have stopped reading if not for a particularly punishing book club. That being said, the novel's saving grace for me was that I thought it might just make a fun movie. But now, as the cast for the actual movie adaptation of this bonkers husband/wife murder plot continues to grow, I'm becoming skeptical once again.

First came Ben Affleck for the lead role of Nick Dunne a choice I found odd mostly because Affleck is so inherently likable while Nick is supposed to be a sleazy a**hole. Plus, he seemed a little old for the role. Then came Rosamund Pike for Nick's sweet-or-deranged-depending-on-the-chapter wife Amy a choice I was willing to go with because I like Pike so much (seriously, is there a woman more beautiful?). And now we have 21-year-old Emily Ratajkowski, the stunning model who became a household name this summer after starring in Robin Thicke's notorious "Blurred Lines" music video, making her acting debut as Andie, Nick's mistress, TheWrap reports.

Add to that motley crew Tyler Perry (as Nick's defense attorney) and Neil Patrick Harris (as a former beau of Amy's who... nevermind, I won't spoil it for you) and you've got the most whackadoo combination of actors we've seen this side ofThe Holiday.

David Fincher is at the helm of this ship to crazytown, so let's hope he can steer it closer to wildly eccentric than bats**t.

Ecotronics Eco Phone Buyer Reviews

We had this phone for several months and our baby loved it so much, but then the battery died, and since then we have not been able to shake it enough to get it back to its original sound-making potential. My husband will sit there shaking it for ten minutes, and all we will get is a couple button pushes and the battery is gone again. Perhaps we have a lemon, or perhaps the eco-battery is not all it's cracked up to be.
- Katie3473

Simply put, the Eco Phone does not work as advertised. The batteries lose their power very quickly. Shake, shake, and shake some more for several minutes, and you may get a few seconds of charge from the batteries. In addition, my daughter held the Eco Phone next to our TV and the TV glowed green. Then when she took it away, several large colored spots remained on the TV. Not only doesn't the product work, but it ruined our TV. Stay away from this piece of junk.
- J. Flanigan

I have just bought this phone for my 16 month old grandson and I have given it a few tries. The numbers are supposed to react to make a sound and flash a light according to the number, 1 gives one flash and sound - yes and the same for 2 and 3 but 4 only gives 3 times although all 4 lights do flash, so educationally it is not accurate. Also there is a blue light on the top of the antennae and I would have presumed it would flash but it doesn't so I am not sure if it is faulty or not.It isn't very expensive as far as toys go and I do like the fact that it is switched off when not in use.I think his parents will like it as it is not too noisy and requires some action to get it working which is educational in itself.Anyways that's what going in his stocking, thanks for reading, hope this helps.
- our Cher

My son loved this toy every time we visited a local store so I purchased it for him for his birthday. He still loves it. We have several different types of phones and the batteries die very quickly and then we are left purchasing expensive batteries (not to mention left with old batteries which need to be recycled). We have had the phone for a few weeks and it still works perfectly. I love that the phone uses energy from shaking the phone to keep it working and not a typical battery. If it doesn't last longer than six months (the average length that the other phones I have purchased lasted), then I will probably contact the company before writing a negative review on the product. For the price I paid, and the amount of fun my son has had with it thus far, I am very happy with the purchase.

10 Reasons Drake's Album Was Pushed Back

Yesterday, news broke that Drakehad pushed the release date of his new album,Nothing Was The Same. Originally slated for September 17th, the album will now hit stores on the 24th.

It came as a big surprise. This album is the epitome of "highly anticipated." It has been planned all summer. The advance music has been leaked. The triumphant OVO Festival set the stage. The trumpets herald the arrival. The album artwork is complete. The roll-out has begun. What could have happened? What could the reasoning have been for the delay?

Enquiring rap minds want to know. We decided to get to the bottom of this. We left no stone unturned [we left many stones unturned], we put in a million phone calls and contacted everyone in the OVO camp [we did not pick up the phone], in compiling this in-depth, comprehensive investigative report. [LOL]

What was behind the decision?Beyond the sort of irresponsible speculation you might find in the tabloids and at the gossip sites, there lies objective fact. And that is definitely [not] what we bring to you here, with10 Reasons Drake's Album "Nothing Was The Same" Was Pushed Back.

German Shepherd Animated Pet Recent Review

German Shepherd Animated Pet Recent Review
I bought this little dog for my mother, who had always owned and loved German Shepherd dogs, but was living in a nursing home. She thought it was darling, and the nursing staff -- as well as visitors and residents -- thought it was a real dog sleeping on her bed. When Mom died, I passed the little guy on to a family starting over with nothing, thinking that the kids would take good care of him.

Sara Gilbert: I Realized I Was Gay While Dating Johnny Galecki

Sara Gilbert revealed that she realized she was gay when she was dating Johnny Galecki Credit: Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic

Sara Gilbert has been very open about her sexuality in recent years, but there was a time early on in her career when she wasn't quite as comfortable letting people know who she really was. Johnny Galecki, her Roseanne costar and ex-boyfriend, helped change that.

Gilbert opened up about their relationship, and its role in her coming to terms with being gay, during an emotional episode of The Talk on Thursday, Sept. 12. (Each of the show's co-hosts are sharing confessions as part of a secret-spilling week; prior to Gilbert's revelation, Julie Chen admitted to having plastic surgery in order to make her "Asian eyes" look bigger.)

PHOTOS: Out and proud celebs

"So, some of you may know that when I was a teenager, I dated Johnny Galecki for a little while, who played my boyfriend and husband on Roseanne," Gilbert began. "And I thought he was super cute and had a total crush on him, and we started dating, and he would come over, and we would make out, and then I would start to get depressed."

She continued: "Johnny felt badly, I think, and started to take it personally and didn't know what was going on. So I eventually told him that I thought it was about my sexuality and he was super sweet about it."

(He's still super sweet. Gilbert noted at the end of her confession that she had given Galecki a heads up that she would be discussing this on The Talk, and he offered to come on the show to hold her hand while she did it.)

The former child star, now 38 and engaged to Linda Perry, noted that Galecki never betrayed her trust by telling anyone what she had told him -- but she lived in fear anyway. "I started dating a woman who was like 18 years older than I was, who was also in the public eye, and it was something that people could have found out about," she revealed. "No one knew at the show for years, and Johnny held the secret the whole time, and I just felt like always so scared [about], if it came out, what could happen. Would I lose my career? Could I ever play a straight role again?"

That fear still haunts her. "When I talk about my sexuality on the show or in public, I still feel really scared," Gilbert admitted, her voice breaking. "So I'll try to act confident or I'll make jokes about it, but there's still a piece of me that goes, 'Well, what is this costing me in career?'"

She continued: "And it's not that I'm not thrilled to be who I am and so grateful to have the life that I have, because I really am. But, for example, even when I got engaged, there was a piece of me that was like, 'Oh, wow, I've gotta say this now to everybody.'"

"I want to live a true life," she concluded. "And beyond that, I guess I just want people to know that we do often say things like 'it gets better' -- and it does get better. And like I said, I have an amazing life. But I want people to know that there can still be a struggle with it, and that's okay. It really is like a process. There can be a part of you that doesn't want to be different or feel scared. And that is maybe more important than any of it."

Punchout Arcade game User Review

Punchout Arcade game User Review
Ah, yes. Punch Out. Such a cool boxing/puzzle title for the NES. It's so great to see the arcade classic come back to the Wii. What? Didn't know it was released in arcades? Before the NES version in fact? Well, it just so happens to be that. The game is as simplistic as you'd probably expect if you've played any Punch Out title. You dodge and punch the opponent. There's just a little problem with this arcade original, though. The control feels a bit stiff. It might take some getting used to if you had always played the NES version, with its smoother control and all.But on the plus side, it's still Punch Out. And to top it off, you get gorgeous-looking graphics and neat voice effects (Although they get slightly repetitive).
