I bought this tamagotchi for my 8 year old sister and she absolutely loves it. She loves having a virtual pet since she doesn't have a real one. If you are looking for a birthday present for anyone ages from 7-9 this is the perfect gift! It does take up a lot of time though. She has to feed it and make sure it doesn't die,so if you have a sensitive child or one who doesn't have a lot of time, I wouldn't buy it.

I bought several of these. They are perfect little stocking-stuffers for kids. The different colors are fun too. We've only had them for a few weeks, but they seem to be very durable. The instructions are fairly easy to follow and the kids seem to enjoy them.
