Intellivision Video Game System 2nd Edition Plug N Play Customer Reviews

I had purchased this item for one game (Deadly Disks). Sadly the desciption is inaccurate and the game is not included on this unit. While the other games are ok, the item was still a waste of money as I have them on my xbox.

Of all the Intellivision TV Play Power controllers I have, this one is BY FAR my favourite; the 2nd Edition, (it has to be the black one, not the blue version or the red version).Although all the reviews I've read concerning the inclusion of 'DEADLY DISCS' on the 2nd Edition black controller have been resoundingly negative, I have to say I must have just been very lucky; my copy of 'DEADLY DISCS' works perfectly, has NO glitches whatsoever, and in terms of gameplay, is identical to the 1981 original. (It's worth noting that the '81 version was produced in cooperation with Disney, who financed the 'TRON' film. For this 2005 re-release, Disney were not involved, and as a result the name 'TRON' has been dropped from the title-screen, and the character of the 'Recognizer' has been replaced with a giant 'space-invader'..., an invader that is the exact same size, almost the same shape, and behaves in exactly the same way as the 1981 Recognizer! If you shoot him in the eye at the exact moment that his eye blinks open, he sparks, "-bzt! bzt! bzt!-", and sinks off the bottom of the screen, just like the original.) And as the difficulty level increases, enemy Disc Warriors are aided by baton-weilding Sentries and even red Command Programs.I do feel sympathy for anyone who feels disappointed with their 2nd Edition TV Play Power controller, I really do. But I can only speak of my own experience; my one works perfectly, and I absolutely love playing it.Other games included are "Space Armada", "Astro Smash", and "Crown of Kings", amongst others. :)

Got this for about 13 bucks not too long ago and I must say that I'm pleasantly suprised at the improvements made from their 1st edition plug and play. There's more game music and the games overall are better quality and the gameplay is better. My favorites are the "enhanced" versions of Astrosmash and Space Armada which in my opinion easily surpass the originals. The other 8 games are good as well although they're not exactly like I remember but enjoyable anyhow. The controls for the Tennis and Volleyball games are a bit awkard and take some getting used to but still playable. Get this if you like the old school Intellivision games without having to find the original hardware and at a cheap price.
